The importance of surgical hand wash in controlling hospital infections.

Surgical hand wash is the simplest, economic and significant process that involves an energetic rub of all hand’s surfaces with antimicrobial solution. The purpose is to eliminate the impressive transitory flora and to diminish the concentration of bacteria. This process is important to maintain good health and cut down on nosocomial infection incurrence.

First of all, the steps of the process are first, open the tap, apply antiseptic soap, then rub the hands ands forearms cleaning the nails with a brush followed by a rinse of plenty water, again apply antiseptic solution and rub for two minutes and rinse of abundant water, in addition to, dry the hands with a disposable towel. For ending, during this short and interesting process you must keep the hands above the elbows.

On the other hand surgical hand wash must realize when arriving and leaving the hospital, before and after exploring a patient or to fulfil a procedure among others because this is a way to decrease or prevent a worrying nosocomial infections.

In conclusion surgical hand wash is an important procedure for cutting out of alleviate the illness caused by hospital infections.
